Pinchas "Phinehas" 

  • Torah Portion: Numbers 25:10-29:40 (30:1)
  • Haftarah: 1 Kings 18:46-19:21
  • Brit Hadasha: John 2:13-22

Tzom Tamuz

Tzom Tamuz (Fast of Tamuz) is a minor fast day on Tamuz 17th (Thursday, July 9th, 2020.) The fast begins at sunrise and ends at sunset. The readings are:

  • Torah Portion: Exodus 32:11-14
  • Torah Portion: Exodus 34:1-10
  • Haftarah: Isaiah 55:6-56:8

Tzom Tamuz commemorates the breaching of the walls at Jerusalem prior to the second Temple being destroyed. It also begins the three week mourning period that ends with the Ninth of Av.

Monday, June 22nd, at sundown, begins the month of Tamuz. The Torah Readings are:
